Every dog that comes to stay at Rosiesretreat seems to have their own little habits , ever wondered where did they get them . Most start at puppy stage ,some just happen like following you into the bathroom and staying with you till your showered and dressed, they just do that and continue it yet some never put their first paw over the bathroom line ,some insist when they roll on their back you have to rub the belly its the belly habit and you must comply. I started as my dog got older to say no to first thing bathroom follow routine and I closed the door but the wee chap was horrified as his morning ritual was to follow me to bathroom, get all the attention before anyone else and to stop that was a no no so he decided to raise his moaning voice to a high pitched HELLO IM HERE so the whole house heard and yes his routine is still in place and all is quiet again but they do have some crazy routines that stay with them to old age . We at Rosiesretreat know when its dinner time with some stays as the moment that clock hits their time they will tell you , I had one dog that became a symphony orchestra at 4pm and wouldnt stop till it was fed.We have the dancing dogs the dogs that love country calendar and insists on participating in the rounding up of sheep, we have dogs that know its time to have a walk NOW bring you their lead. They say dogs are not human but for you dog owners we know better dont we.
